Amit Dutta

CS Undergrad · Full Stack Developer (Maybe)

Currently a B.Sc. Hons Computer Science student at Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata (semester 2, still googling things I "learned" in semester 1). I'm also a PR Reviewer at is-a.dev - making me a professional button-clicker.

Stack

Selected Work

I build tools, libraries, and web utilities - mostly things I wish existed, occasionally things nobody asked for. Written up with the decisions and trade-offs left visible.

Veyrix IDE

Lightweight PWA code editor running fully in-browser. Built after one too many "I forgot to bring the assignment" moments - write the code, download it in any extension, print, done.

JavaScript IndexedDB Firebase

WhatsApp Logger

Privacy-first architecture running 24/7 in the cloud to permanently archive WhatsApp conversations. Not spying, just... very thorough remembering.

Node.js Baileys

Ada AI

A bridge between systems programming and LLM interfaces built into a secure Gemini-powered ecosystem, because apparently I needed a fourth project this month.

Python Gemini API

Mojic

CLI-based C source obfuscator utilizing a 256-bit password-seeded rolling cipher. Turns C code into emojis. Yes, on purpose. No, I don't know why either.

C Scrypt-JS

Githrun

Python CLI to pipe GitHub raw content directly into local execution sandboxes. For people (me) too impatient to git clone.

Python GitHub API

Cloud Compiler

Remote code compilation service providing a sanitized environment for C/C++ execution. Kept alive by hope and a Render free tier.

REST API GCC/G++

Misc & Open Source

Libraries, coursework, and things I was procrastinating on instead of Sem 2 Prep.

B.Sc Coursework

Every B.Sc. practical I've ever suffered through, preserved for posterity.

ADPKG

Compound interest, matrices, and stats tools, so I stop doing math by hand like a caveman.

ESAL-1.0

Educational Source-Available License. My own software license, mostly to say "please don't copy this" in legal-sounding language.

Notes & Thinking

What I Learned Reviewing 500+ Pull Requests at is-a.dev

As a PR Reviewer at github.com/is-a-dev, I review subdomain registration requests from developers worldwide. Or, to put it more accurately, I stare at broken JSON files until they blur into a singular, mocking entity.

After 500+ PRs, my soul has officially left my body. The sheer volume of developers pointing CNAMEs to localhost, forgetting trailing commas, and boldly trying to register google.is-a.dev has eroded my remaining sanity. I spend half my day begging people to please, for the love of all that is holy, make their repositories public before asking for a domain. I am no longer a developer; I am a glorified JSON linter and a part-time therapist for DNS conflicts. Send help. And coffee.

The Portfolio Graveyard

I am so incredibly tired. I have built, burned down, and rebuilt my portfolio seven times before this. Each iteration was a desperate attempt to look "professional" before I finally gave up, threw design out the window, and made this plain text document.

For your amusement, here lies the graveyard of my previous digital identities:

This is version 8. There will not be a version 9.

Contact

I promise I respond faster than I fix bugs. Email or LinkedIn, your pick.

GitHub. Mostly green squares and regret.

Go to amit.is-a.dev/hub to see the list of the all the domains and the pages.

You scrolled this whole page. That's more commitment than I've shown to Sem 2 Prep. Go drink some water.
